Back in April I snapped a day for ITV’s new drama, Leaving. I met Callum Turner (a new face to look out for) and Helen McCrory who will be appearing in the upcoming James Bond film Skyfall and who I last saw in Martin Scorsese’s Hugo. It was a very brief bout of stills work but it was interesting to document. Leaving tells the story of a married woman’s affair with a younger man who is still struggling to find his way in the world. I read the scripts for the mini-series beforehand and it’s superbly written by Tony Marchant

I was quite restricted with the filming location, unable to use my blimp and grabbed the majority of shots at the end of filming when one of the sparks very kindly left a working light on for me and the two actors invovled made time for me at the end of a very long day.

Leaving begins on September 10th at 9pm on ITV1.
