Don’t Scare the Hare – BBC1 | Production stills

In early February I provided additional photography for Don’t Scare the Hare on behalf of Peel Media for MediaCityUK Studios. The show airs April 23rd on BBC1 at 17.25. I’ve previously blogged about the show here

This is the first official studio show to be filmed at MediaCityUK Studios and I was fortunate enough to be present. As I originally blogged, the set-up is highly unique and I think host Jason Bradbury will make this a very entertaining family-orientated show.

This a blurb from the official MediaCityUK press release about the show:

Tune in to BBC One this Easter weekend for Don’t Scare the Hare, the first programme filmed at The Studios, MediaCityUK.

Hosted by The Gadget Show presenter Jason Bradbury, the new Saturday night entertainment series will air on BBC One at 17:25pm, Saturday 23rd March.

The innovative family game show combines ‘comedy, tension and slapstick’, as two teams of contestants not only take on each other for £15,000, but also the star of the show a four-foot tall, fully animatronic robot hare.

The nine-part series, produced by Big Brother creators Endemol, was filmed in front of a studio audience in HQ1, the largest of seven high definition studios at the multi-million pound studio complex at MediaCityUK,

The Studios, MediaCityUK officially opened for business in January.

Don’t miss what looks to be an exciting show!

Small Garden – Short Film – extra for the evening…

Yesterday I was asked a favour by my friend Dominique Molloy. She was producing a short film and asked if I would step in at the last minute and be a 1970s extra at a garden party. Given that last weekend I was playing a Bargain Booze supermarket clerk, I figured–what the hell. I took along my pocket-camera, the Canon S95, and grabbed some piccies.

The short is directed by Craig Vance. I asked a member of the crew, Ursula Haworth, to snap me in my 70s garb, I’m photographed with Dominique, who was also roped in at the last minute. Was a very good craic.:)

Stills for Candy Cabs – BBC1

Last May I provided additional photography for Candy Cabs which airs tonight on BBC1 at 9pm.

This is the official blurb from the BBC1 website:

A group of friends set up their own, all-female taxi firm in the face of their chaotic personal lives, and opposition from existing companies. Comedy ensues as they struggle to make the business work.

Should be good fun. You can follow the official Splash Media Twitter feed here
