Early reviews for Avatar have been coming in following its UK premiere last night in Leicester Square. Can’t wait to see this film. To boil down the technicalities to greenhorn tech-speak, this film features revolutionary effects which will transform film-making forever……pretty much how Titanic did for most male film-goers but not entirely in the same way. I think this is pure atonement for all that Twilight bullshit that’s been flying about the place. Finally a blockbuster to get excited about. Can’t wait. Here’s some of the early buzz.
“The King of the World sets his sights on creating another world entirely in Avatar, and it’s very much a place worth visiting.”

“Avatar is an overwhelming, immersive spectacle. The state-of-the-art 3D technology draws us in, but it is the vivid weirdness of Cameron’s luridly imagined tropical otherworld that keeps us fascinated.”
Wendy Ide, The Times UK [Read full review]
“An epic film born entirely of Cameron’s imagination, Avatar uses tailor-made technology to create the most astonishing visual effects yet seen on screen and blends them seamlessly into a mythical sci-fi story.”

And my own personal favourite:

Avatar is released around the world on December 18th. It is now my mission in life to meet James Cameron and give him a big bear hug. Welcome back to film-making, you’ve been missed.
